Phlo is the UK’s first full service, Digital Pharmacy offering real-time tracked delivery, 6 am - 11 pm at any location (Work, home etc.), live chat with a pharmacist and entirely frictionless ordering. Our mission at Organised Health developed to meet this growing every day need. This evolved to be a platform and app that allows the patient to order, track and receive NHS repeat prescriptions at a time and place that suits them using real-time delivery. That model won the DEVELOP programme. Apart from that, there were also issues with actually ordering from the GP's surgery to get the prescription sent to the pharmacy electronically, with no fully integrated solution. Through DEVELOP and speaking to patients struggling to manage their prescriptions, they were going without medication because ordering and collecting their medicine was too hard to maintain. It was clear there was high demand for a convenient prescription ordering and delivery service.Īlthough attempts had been made to aid the problems of getting a prescription from GP’s with the Electronic Prescription System in England, patients still had to leave work early and wait in a queue at a pharmacy to collect their prescription or to lose their medication in the post from a faceless online pharmacy. I put my first business model through the rigorous testing process at MediCity, a health technology accelerator, and won a place on their DEVELOP programme. I founded Organised Health, a Digital Health company with this vision. This is one of the greatest challenges of our generation with a rapidly ageing population, digitisation in every aspect of our lives and the need for the NHS to innovate quickly to meet this future. While studying in the United States, I saw digital healthcare solutions in place that were well ahead of the UK. Struggling with Diabetes, I came home with a vision and mission to develop technology that would work with NHS systems in the UK and give patients and their family more easy control over their healthcare.
